Happy New Year !!

I heard from the peanut gallery that I haven't put any Christmas pictures up yet. So "Don't Worry, Be Happy"...here they are.

On the day before Christmas Eve, I picked Tanya's girls up in Florenceville. Sarah shopped in Fredericton with Victoria, and together we took the girls home to the farm, where we had a great evening alone with them. Tanya, T J, and A J joined us on Christmas Eve and we all headed to the Midland church for a nice community Christmas service.

Jesse drew the short straw, and had to stay home and milk the cows.

The girls didn't go to bed nearly as well for Tanya, as they had for us the night before, but finally they did, after leaving treats for Santa and his reindeer, and having T J read "The Night Before Christmas".
The next morning Jesse, Garrett, and I raced through chores, and came in to a Christmas tree crowded with gifts. After the obligitory picture at the top of the stairs, everyone came downstairs.

It was an exciting morning, great to watch the little ones opening gifts. And then it was off to Stacy's for a wonderful dinner. She did a great job, and everything was excellent. Here are Stacy, Grandma, Danielle, Kara, Cecily, and Bradford.

Going through the pictures tonight, I found it hard to find ones without Sarah making her funny face. Something like trying to get a picture of Stacy without her sticking het tongue out. Or Art doing something he shouldn't. So here is Sarah... and a few others...

And today, we had a visit from Hailey, Victoria, and Brad.

So, looking back on 2010, it has been quite a year. Wow!!
Sarah and I celebrated 30 years.
Carrie's Quebec exchage.
NB Soil and Crops Farm of the Year.
An 18000 km. trip around North America.
A trip to Holland to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the Liberation, and renewing our friendship with Fia and Jaap.
2 more grandchildren (that makes 7!)
One of the best growing and harvesting seasons and on the farm in years.
Broke the 4000 litre/pickup of milk, and still over  4000 today.
And other things like the trip Jesse and I made to Ontario in February.
The shortened trip to Quebec in September, but it was still good.
Broken collar bones and broken ankles.
Having Roma from the Ukraine working for us.
And we can't forget to mention Lacey, our new milker, who is a great milker and a pleasure to have around.
And Sarah's CCSVI in Bulgaria and the wonderful reminder of the great community we live in before we went. Sarah is showing continued improvements every week. This is good.
Did I forget anything? Maybe I should check the blog.
Happy New Year!!!

Happy Birthday Carrie

Our little girl turned sweet 16 today. And what a sweetie she is. But we are confident that she has never been kissed, and won't be until she is like 26. We had a small cake for her tonight, with 2 of her friends, including Lexie, one of her best.

Getting into the Christmas spirits... Again...

It's Christmas time! Yeah! So this last week we have been busy getting into the spirit of Christmas, and some of us have even been sampling the Christmas spirits... Jesse found us a tree last weekend, and Carrie did a swell job decorating it.

Sarah got her village all set up.

And Jesse, Carrie and I got the lights up.

T'is gonna be a good Christmas!

Happy Birthday Sarah

Today was Sarah's Birthday. Most of the family was able to make it over for supper with us. Pizza from Angelo's and Stacy made a delicious cake.

Glad to see Jesse still fits into his middle school t-shirt. Carrie looks sweet here, but you really had to be here.

Even Hailey wondered what she was up to...

I think Sarah had a good day, but every day seems to be a good day for her, now that we are back from Bulgaria. She is noticing little changes every day, all good. Very exciting. I have a few more pics from our trip, and I think I will put them on now. Here are a  few pictures of Sofia, taken from the roof of the hospital.

And the dogs. Sofia has quite a bunch of wild dogs. Some nights you could hear them bark at night, and apparently they occasionally drag people into the woods at night and eat them. So I was careful to photograph them from 9 floors up, I figured I was safe there.

We met many new friends while there, but we made good friends with, and spent alot of time with brothers Brad and Travis, of Big River, Saskatchewan.

I got a chance to sample some Bulgarian beer. Kamenitza, and my personal favorite,  Zagorka!

On Friday morning we got up at 4:15AM (10:15 PM Thursday local time) to catch this plane.

It took us to Munich, then an 8 hour wait ( I tried Barvarian beer) and an 8 hour flight with Lufthansa ( Sarah pronounced it La Senza) got us to Boston, where we spent the night. Sarah was pretty happy to get there.

CCSVI Angioplasty... In Bulgaria...

Wednesday, Nov. 24th. After morning chores we packed and headed out.

And headed to the smallest airport we've ever seen.

We met Tanya in Florenceville, and she took us over. Seeing as we were the only people in the airport for at least an hour, we had plenty of time for pictures.

And took this plane to Boston. Us and 10 others.

After Boston, we had a 7.5 hour overnight flight to Munich and a 4 hour wait, then a short flight to Sofia. Here is Sarah, a little wearier, but she still has her  hat, and her cane.

Here is our hotel, and the hospital right next door.

The very next morning, Friday the 26th, we were at the hospital for the tests, and directly after that Sarah was admitted. Here she is waiting patiently to be taken away.

Whether it was a slow day in the cardiac ward, or the hat was bothering them, they took her at 3:00 that afternoon. And by 4:00, she was fixed and back. After an overnight stay in the hospital, she was tested to make sure she hadn't "restenosed" and was released. And then back to the hotel.

The hotel lobby became a great place to relax and meet other MS'rs here for the treatment. And there were many, from many countries.

Randoms...Shopping, sightseeing, McDonalds, and look how they park everywhere.
