The 5th (our 4th) Rona M-S Bike Tour

Here we are all lined up for a picture...Maria, Scott, Tanya, Carrie, Bruce, Superman, & AJ

Then we realized Sheila was missing...Where is she?

We found her in time for the Team Picture...

Here we are leaving Sussex...I think the one in white is a Psycow, but I know we are all nuts because it is raining...Christina looked after Tanya's children, they were all out cheering as we biked thru Norton, here is Sarah & Dameon watching us go past....notice Sarah's t shirt?

The rain has stopped, we have 30 km. in, most of us are happy and wet, and one of us is wet, red, tired, and his tongue is hanging out.

Carrie is definitely happy, she survived a flat tire and still caught up with us.

Planning session...who is taking the challenge route?

AJ, Carrie, Jesse, Maria, Tanya and Scott decided to go the regular route and Sheila and I took the extended challenge route. 85 km. and lots of hills.

Baba was a big help volunteering...They were not quite sure where to put her, so they figured she couldn't do too much damage making sure the bikers made it safely over the railway tracks. Little did they know.....

Here is Sheila arriving..she doesn't look any worse for wear..

We found Carrie waiting for us when we got off the Gondola Point ferry, so it was nice to bike the last 10 km. with her. She did really well.
Then later that night there was a banquet...
Here we all are enjoying some refreshments...

And we got a few awards...one of them being best dressed team, which included Emma, Madilyn, & both Sarah's all wearing the team shirts. Thanks Tanya!

The team with their 2cd consecutive first place trophy for team fund raising.

The team again with Sarah (we would do anything for her), and our inside connection with the MS Atlantic office, Jessara

Stacy had Bradford & Kara at the finish line to see us come in on Sunday..

Here we are sporting our new outfits.

And showing off...
Emma & Madilyn wanted to be part of the fun.

Happy Birthday Stacy

Stacy is a quarter of a century old today, but she still likes to revert to her childhood. If you leave a stroller unattended you are bound to find Stacy in it. The poor stroller knows what a load on is. Have a good day Stacy!

School Tours

As we have been doing, for more years than I can remember, we did again this year...kindergarten trips to the farm.

This was our first group, and Willard was very interested. It was really quite comical, as he mingled with the parents around the group of children.

It is always nice to do a tour on a sunny day, but we have one teacher that always picks a rainy day.
Sarah always saves a couple of calves to feed, and the kids love this.

The kids go nuts looking at the calves.
And the calves go nuts looking at the kids.

Jordan brought us a great sow this year, with 2 piglets, now if he would only take them back!..He says next week...
Abby loves the kids, and the kids love Abby.

This oddity attracted a lot of attention, but most were afraid to get too close.

Then we head down to the lower barn.

Santa the sheep is wondering what all the noise is. Yes, the kids make noise.

Buddy the rabbit is a hit, he is so soft, this is Lisa holding him, she was here for 1 tour. Jesse kept getting scratched when he picked him up. Lisa didn't.

The hay mow always impresses the kids.

Sarah, making like a cow, likely explaining the computer feeders.

The Money pit. Any questions?
The kids awaiting the milk truck. But I see another question. It is Dameon, Christina's son, not Jesse's...Christina is in her 2cd year of helping us with the school tours, and we really appreciate all her help. Free. Love it.

Here is Andy(milk truck driver) doing the happy dance. Need I explain the happy dance?

The kids love looking at their reflections in the side of the milk truck.

Then we milk a cow.
Jesse is happy it is only 1 cow.

The milking parlour is full.
After the milking, we go up for treats and a horse back ride.

The kids love it.
The Highlanders are down to watch.

On wet days we stay in the calf barn, while Jesse gets wet in the yard. And sometimes we get thank you's, which makes it feel good.

Happy Birthday Jesse

Today our little boy turns 23! Happy Birthday Jesse!!

What a better day than your birthday, to unplug the manure spreader. And who would have thought, that we could have plugged it with a dead chicken.

Carrie played well tonight. We actually took the picture at home, afterwards, as the one we took there didn't look so good.

Today we went to Carrie's Annual Cadet Review, and Carrie won an award for being Top Cadet in her Flight (Spitfire). We were very proud of her!

Today we finally got a field seeded down, and today I put out some more manure. Notice anything wrong with my tractor?
Well I did...finally...I have spread over half of our manure and harrowed many acres, but tonight as I was loading my last load I noticed something amiss.

Anyone see it yet?

Another Mother of a Day

We had a great day here celebrating Mom's day
Sheila & Art came down from Nackawic, Victoria & Brad came from Fredericton, Grandma came over from Hampton, and of course Jesse and Carrie were here. Stacy & Gilbert stopped in for a bit, and Kara brought her Nanny a present.

Stacy didn't stay long enough for the Mother picture, so we had to search the archives.

And Tanya didn't even come, so we had to search for a good one of her.

And we were happy to have Dan, who brought Katelyn along.
