Most of us are happy that Grandma made it through her surgery yesterday with no major blips. Apparently there is one in law that is not quite sure yet.
Anyways, I'm sure he will be happier after someone figures out how to move the heavy vehicles that are blocking the driveway to Grandma's new house. That is just about ready!!

Ski Trip to Big Rock, Mars Hill, ME, USA
Yesterday morning Carrie, her friend Lexie, and I got up really early, and drove up to Northern Maine to a ski hill we hadn't been to before. We left in the rain, arrived in the snow, and it got colder all day, but the girls had fun. We stopped in to see Sheila, Art and Grandma on the way. I think they had just got up, but the coffee was ready, so I filled up. We also got to take a picture of the worlds largest axe. Nackawic's claim to fame. Good luck tomorrow, Grandma.

New York, New York..so nice they named it twice!
Today we had breakfast at the Tick Tock diner, in the Hotel New York, then spent some time checking family connections. We found the statue of my Uncle Peter Stuyvesant, and got my picture taken with him. See any resemblance? Then we checked out Bayard Street, which is now part of Chinatown. We found Horatio Street too. Named after Carrie. We took the bus back up to the Empire State Building and found a pub at happy hour. We have 135 blocks in walking today.
Going for a Cruise
Yesterday morning we were up early for a stroll down to the pier (20 blocks), then we had a great tour of both the East River and the Hudson River, and out to the Statue of Liberty. We got great views of the city of New York and the city of New Jersey. After that we took a bus tour of Uptown Manhatten, around Central Park, lunch at TGI Fridays and back downtown. We walked around Ground Zero, and then back to back to the hotel (15 blocks), and met up with Peter and went out for a beer and snacks at the Heartland Brewery (20 blocks).

Times Square
Today Tanya and I visited Times Square, had lunch at The Hard Rock Cafe, and had a bus tour of downtown Manhattan. Then after spending some downtime, which included walking 30 or 40 blocks, we took a night tour of the city and got across the East River to Brooklyn, and got to take some pictures of New York City at night. Afterwards we met Peter for a burger and beer.
Road Trip
Tanya and I decided to go to New York City for a few days to visit Peter and stay in his hotel room. We drove down today, and made the important first stop in New Hampshire. Now we are in the hotel after driving in circles in downtown New York. Yeesh, there are alot of yellow taxis here. And high speed internet. I see what you mean Victoria.

BRHS Alumni Game
Yesterday we had the pleasure to watch 4 of our kids play basketball at the annual high school alumni game. Only Carrie left on the school team, and Stacy took a year off being pregnant so she played this year. Here she is giving Carrie a hard time. Jesse had to holler at the ref to back up to get this picture. Thanks Ms. Giddens.
Victoria came home for the game, and played really well. She played awesome and got lots of baskets. Good job Vicky!
Carrie is really gonna be a good basketball player for the school. She is our number one!
After the girls game the boys played. The old guys really showed that they aren't too old yet, and they really showed the young guys.
